Coaching industry, global demand

Coaching industry: High demand regions

Globally, Western Europe's coaching industry has the second highest total annual revenue percentage from coaching, while North America has the highest total annual revenue. Western Europe and North America have significantly higher overall revenues than other regions of the world according to a report by the Coaching Federation (Coach Federation Report, 2016).

Demand for coaching services was projected to increase yearly, according to research from 2016. The average earnings for Executive Coaches is £255. However, less experienced coaches, such as coaches with less than 10 years experience, are expected to earn considerably less than this. This figure is the mean average from across the globe. Executive coaches in specific countries, such as the UK, may earn more than this (managingchange.org.uk, 2016).

Coaching industry: Clients job roles

The majority of clients are found to work in managerial positions such as middle management or senior management positions rather than lower level job positions (Coaching Federation Report, 2016).

The most common job roles held by clients who enlist a coach were found to be managerial job roles, this is closely followed by chief executives and senior management, personal clients, business owners and entrepreneurs.
